Grabowski Grabowski, Anthony S. passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Union Hospital, Moose Jaw after a brief illness. Tony in his 85th year, will be fondly remembered by his brother Tadeusz Grabowski and his children Henryk, Michal and Teresa and many other friends and relatives in Poland. He will be missed by his friends Marquita and Howard Neufeld and especially by their son Kelly (Tammy) and their son Jonah, all of Moose Jaw. His second cousins Rev. Walter Grabowski of Eden, NY, USA, Robert Tabaka (Christine), of Edmonton, Stan Murza (Judy) of Edmonton and Rick Murza (Sharon) of Saskatoon. He is predeceased by his parents August and Teresa and by his brother Henry. Tony was born in Poland in 1923. He was conscripted by the Nazi's and was required to work in a Nazi concentration camp in WWII. Following the war, Tony immigrated to Canada and shortly after began working for the C.P.R. where he worked diligently for over 37 years until his retirement in 1988. He was a spiritual man, a gentleman and devout Roman Catholic and was often seen with his Polish Prayer book, one of his last requests being for his prayer book while in the hospital in Moose Jaw. A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Parkview Funeral Home, 474 Hochelaga St. W., Moose Jaw. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of Our Lady, 566 Vaughan St., Moose Jaw, on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
