THOMAS BYRON (BYSIE) RAMSAY

RAMSAY, THOMAS BYRON (BYSIE) Thomas Byron (Bysie) Ramsay CD and SSM, husband of Mary (O'Connell) of Fredericton, NB, and formerly of Newcastle, NB., occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB, on Saturday, February 18th, 2006, at the age of 72. Born in Newcastle, NB, Byron was the son of the late Benjamin and Clara (Robichaud) Ramsay. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces with (1 PPCLI) Air Borne with approximately 45 jumps to his credit in Canada and Europe. Discharged in 1968 after 16 years of service. Worked as a Field Accountant with US Steel and Comstock. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 Fredericton and Branch #10 Newcastle. Also a member of St. Dunstans Roman Catholic Church, Fredericton. Besides his wife Mary he is survived by two daughters Kathryn Bleakney (Michael) of Ottawa, ON, Kimberly A. Charters (Gary) of Fredericton, NB, one son Thomas J. (Tracey) of Georgia, USA, five sisters, Millie Underhill of Miramichi, NB, Rita Dolan (John) of Miramichi, NB, Julia English of Miramichi, NB, Hazel Sutherland of Osoyoos, BC and Noonie Leslie (Dennis) of Victoria, BC, three brothers Oland of Miramichi, NB, Erving (Jessie) of Miramichi, NB, and Gerald (Tinker) (Metilda) of Moncton, NB, 11 grandchildren, Aaron, Murray, Amanda and Caitlin Bleakney, Sarah, Nicole, Christie and Zachary Ramsay and Brittany, Brandi and Bailey Charters, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Ovilda Muzzerall and brother Norman. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
