- Donald Frederick 1921 - 2008 Donald Frederick Martin, born November 18, 1921 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away at the Rocky View Hospital in Calgary on June 3, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Donald is survived by his wife Doris of 58 years; his son Gregg and wife Maureen and their daughters Melissa, Alana, Tessa and Hannah of Denver, Colorado; his son Douglas and wife Jane and their children Emily and Max of Calgary. Also left to mourn are his brothers Stan (Frances) of Vancouver, B.C. and Leslie (Marion) of Moose Jaw, SK as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Giles. Donald served with the R.C.A.F. in Britain, Italy and Ireland. He was employed by General Motors of Canada for 40 years as District Service Manager in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. In his later years he volunteered at the Royal Canadian Legion No. 285 on Horton Road as well as the Southland Family Leisure Centre. A Memorial Service will be held at THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION CENTENNIAL BRANCH NO. 285, 9202 Horton Road S.W.
