NATALIE LEBLANC FORRESTALL

FORRESTALL, NATALIE LEBLANC Marie Natalie LeBlanc Forrestall was born in Quebec in 1933. She grew up in Atholville, NB, the daughter of Jeanette and Francois LeBlanc. A graduate of Teacher's College in Fredericton. Natalie went on to be one of the Maritimes early art educators with degrees in fine arts from Mount Allison and education from the University of New Brunswick. Natalie married fellow art student Tom Forrestall in 1958 and they lived and raised their family in Fredericton, NB and then Dartmouth, NS, where she also managed the Forrestall Fine Art business. Natalie was a passionate Acadian, a devout Catholic and a committed member of the secular Franciscan order. She volunteered for many years at Hope Cottage in Halifax and with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, Tom Forrestall, her children William (Anne), Monica (Kerry Schuss), Renee (Nick Webb), Jack, Curphey, and Francis (Diana) and 10 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Natalie's memory to Hope Cottage of Halifax, NS, or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
