She is survived by her son, Arnold (Lila) Krause of Saskatoon; daughter, Marlene (Garry) Bruce of Calgary; grandchildren: Janet (Trevor) Wannop, Jeffrey (Andrea) Krause, Lori (Grant) Henningsen, Brian Bruce (Marcella), Jocelyn Krause (Daniel Buxton), Trent (Stacey) McIntyre; and great-grandchildren: Tyler and Jordan Krause; Spencer, Connor and Justin Wannop; Rebecca and Katelyn Henningsen; Chloe and Gage McIntyre; her sisters: Ruth McIntyre, Ethellynn Stratford, Bernice Austin, Violet (Paul) Sapergia; and by her half-sisters, Olive Russell, Darlene (Edward) Kitzul and Marilyn Andrews; half brother, Ivan Andrews; and step-mother, Helen Andrews; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is predeceased by her parents; sister, Rosamond Dykstra; brother, Leslie Andrews; daughter, Barbara McIntyre; grandson Dean McIntyre and Edwin Krause. Hilda and Edwin were married and settled in the Parkbeg district. Hilda was active in many activities which included: tending her large garden and fruit orchard as many can attest to her canning and preserving abilities that she shared with her family and friends. Later she became involved with the 4H program, curling, sewing and quilting. The sewing and quilting became a life long hobby as she took classes then returned to her community to pass on her learning and skills to others. In June 1990, Hilda was one of seven women in Moose Jaw to establish the "Prairie Hearts Quilt Guild". This guild was very dear to her heart as well as the many friends that she made while making beautiful quilts. These quilts, quillos and baby blankets have been enjoyed by many including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our sincere thanks to the staff of Chateau St. Michael and First and Second floors at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital for their special care of our mother and for the support shown to the family during her illness. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Monday July 7, 2008 at 2:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. The interment will take place prior to the Service at Sunset Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Those wishing to join the cortege may meet at the Funeral Home at 1:15 pm.
