BAIRD, RONALD EMERSON The death of Ronald Emerson Baird of Fredericton, husband of Marjorie D. Baird occurred on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late Prof. Dr. Albert Foster Baird and Hilda Barbara (McLenahan) Baird. Mr. Baird retired in 1985 after 32 years of Service for the City of Fredericton as Superintendent of Water and Sewerage. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Church. Besides his wife, Marjorie D. (Wood) Baird, he is survived by four sons, Gary Morrison Baird (Marilyn) of Fredericton, Dennis Wayne Baird (Kathy) of Charter's Settlement, Ronald Lloyd Foster Baird (Linda) of Fredericton and Peter Douglas Baird (Sheila) of Noonan; one daughter, Wendy Marjorie Hay (Robert) of Fredericton; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baird was predeceased by one brother, Douglas Baird. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. By request of the family there will be no Visitation or Funeral Service.
