POIRIER, EFFIE MAY The death of Effie May Poirier of Fredericton, wife of Emery Gallen occurred on Wednesday, April 05, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton. Born in Port Elizabeth, Newfoundland, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Senior) Frampton. Effie was a Building Manager for Cowperthwaite Apartments and attended the First Wesleyan Church. Besides her partner, she is survived by three daughters, Mary Ellen Poirier and Tammy Poirier both of Moncton, and Beatrice (Phillip) MacKenzie of Fredericton; one step-daughter, Elizabeth Gallen of Moncton, one step-son, Charles Cormier of Moncton; eight grand children; two brothers, Dolph Framton of Halifax, NS and Eric Framton of Shelburne, NS; four sisters, Flora Currie of Florida, Marion Lee of Texas, Geraldine Osborne of Shelburne, NS and Mary Nickerson of Halifax, NS; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the First Wesleyan Church, 131 Duncan Lane, Fredericton, NB on Friday, April 7, 2006 at 11 am with Rev. Karl Ingersoll officiating. Interment will be held in the Dayton Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Research would be appreciated by the family.
