Palmer, Robert Neil March 20, 1929 - July 7, 2008 Robert Neil Palmer , born March 20, 1929 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on July 7, 2008. Predeceased by his first wife, Margaret in 1992, mourned by his second wife, Doreen Cowie, two daughters Karen of Victoria and Wynne Palmer of Vancouver, stepson Steve (Pat) Cowie of Nanaimo, brother Murray (Ellen) Palmer of Moose Jaw, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Robert was an RCMP Sergeant, retiring after 25 years of service, of which he was proud. After teaching in the Criminal Law Enforcement Programme at the Lethbridge Community College, he finally retired to Nanaimo. Robert's favourite pastime in retirement was to travel, and ultimately enjoyed over forty cruises to over eighty countries with his friends from CareVacations. He also enjoyed his friends and the activities of the local Gyro Club, RCMP Vets, Royal Canadian Legion and the Federal Superannuates National Association.Flowers gratefully declined.
