GIMBLETT, DOROTHY 1922 - 2006 The death of Dorothy Gimblett, age 83, of Sackville, formerly of Oromocto, NB, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, April 12, 2006. Born in Halifax, NS. She was the daughter of Francis and Alice (Bannister) Baert and a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church. While a resident of Oromocto, Dorothy served on the Vestry of St. John's Anglican Church and was past president of the ACW. She also served as president of the Oromocto Hospital Auxiliary of which she was a member for many years. Dorothy will be truly missed by four daughters, Rosalie (Bill) Holmes of Sackville, Cameille (Marvin) Sherman of Halifax; Jeanette Brown of Winnipeg, MB and Mary Jenkins of Dartmouth, NS; three sons, John of Halifax, Bob (Shelly) of Lake Charlotte and Peter (Rose) of Greenwood, NS; she leaves behind twelve grandchildren and nine great - grandchildren as well as one sister, Elizabeth (Arthur) Peters of Halifax, NS. Predeceased by her husband, Robert W. (Bill) in 1998 and one bother Frank. Dorothy's remains have been entrusted to Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home for cremation.
