James Thomas Zinn , passed away peacefully July 15, 2008. Jim was born on July 24, 1927 to Edward and Cora Zinn. He attended Clinton School and completed grade 8, at which time he returned to the farm to help out. Jim married Dorothea Sherman on May 28, 1948. They resided on the family farm with his Mom and Dad, and when his parents passed, Jim carried on the family farm tradition, residing there until his passing. James also worked at the Filtration Plant for 25 years. His passions were baseball and hockey. Predeceased by his wife Dorothea, his parents Edward and Cora, and three brothers Jack, Roy and Lyle, James will be sadly missed by his children: Ron (Connie), Wayne (Janet), Larry (Linda), Shelley (Kevin), and Curt (Tammy); thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister, two brothers, special friend, Dot; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of James' life will be held at Minto United Church, 1036 Seventh Ave. NW., on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will be the celebrant.
