STEWART, JOHN At Oromocto Public Hospital, May 31, 2006. John Stewart of Cambridge Narrows, NB, formerly of Gagetown, NB. John was born in Berwick on Tweed, Scotland and later resided in Edinburgh. Besides his parents Marion and William Dunbar Stewart he was predeceased by his brother William Mitchell Stewart. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Mary (Payne) Stewart: a brother George Dunbar Stewart: a sister Vera (Robert) Liddell of England; two stepchildren, nieces and nephews. John served in the British Army and transferred to The Black Watch Division of the Canadian Army, serving as a Peacekeeper in several parts of the world. John was also Pipe Major of the 2nd, Battalion Canadian Black Watch. Upon retirement from the Army, John formed his own business upholstering furniture. Visitation will be held at the First Cambridge Baptist Church on June 1st, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2nd, at the Church. Rev. Philip Penny will officiate. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the First Cambridge Baptist Church would be appreciated. Reception to follow service in the church hall.
