WATSON, BRIAN CARL It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Carl Watson announces his passing after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, June 2nd, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in his 65th year. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 15 years, Patricia (Farrell) and his children, Doug (Anita), Cami (Richard) Lyons and Cheri (Richard) Hovey. Brian will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren, Michael, Melinda, Katie, Michaud and Jenna, by his brothers Michael (Jenette) Watson of Saint John and Paul (Marie) Watson of Fredericton, Carol Morton mother of his children and by his faithful four legged companion Riley. Brian was predeceased by his parents Jack and Myrtle (Hazlett) Watson, brother Peter, son Brian Glen Watson and grandson Ricky Hovey. Brian began his career in 1962 with the Department of National Defense and retired in 1995 as Works Controller for CE. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 4 where he spent time playing in cribbage tournaments and socializing with good friends. Brian enjoyed hunting with his close friends Tom Boldon and Doug Brewer, fishing with his buddies, Herb Thomas and Dennis Vail. He played baseball, softball, umpired ball and in later years enjoyed his time being in the outdoors golfing, and taking bike trips on his four wheeler, with Michaud, to do some fishing and bird hunting. Brian's remains have been entrusted to McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home for cremation. The memorial service will be held at the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 10th, 2006 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Reg Miller officiating. Interment will be held in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made in Brian's name to the PEDS or Oncology Unit, DECH Hospital or the charity of the donor's choice. www.mcadamsfh.com
