ELLIOTT, VIOLA (MILLS) The death of Viola (Mills) Elliott, wife of the late Stanley Elliott, occurred on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born on February 24, 1917, she was the daughter of Marshall and Helena (Whittaker) Mills. Viola graduated from FHS and PNS (1936), she taught for two years, worked in the Marysville Cotton Mill. Later she took secretarial training and worked for the Canadian Pacific Express for 25 Years. She was a member of Olivet Wesleyan Church, the Marysville and Devon Seniors Clubs, she enjoyed playing Bridge, bowling, watching Toronto Blue Jay games and her time spent with friends and family. She is survived by one son, Ronald (Patricia Frizzle) Elliott of Fredericton NB; one brother, Stanley (Della) Mills; two grandchildren, Jane (Daniel) Smith and Amy (Stephen) Gough; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Doris Timms and Mildred Allen; one brother, Philip Mills; and grandson, Ashley Elliott. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, June 12, 2006 from 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 2pm from Olivet Wesleyan Church, Marysville, NB, with Dr. Tom Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Olivet Wesleyan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Olivet Wesleyan Church, Parkinson's Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
