CLEGHORN, MARY ALICE Mary Alice Cleghorn passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2006 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 4, 1944 in Tweedside, NB. She is survived by three sisters; Cynthia Swan of Kelowna, BC., Sharon Nutley of Edmonton, AB, and Sheila West (Thom) of Windsor, ON. She also leaves her aunts, uncle and cousins of NB, as well as four nephews and two nieces in Ontario and Western Canada and her many, many friends. She was predeceased by her parents Russell and Iona (Bell) Cleghorn and her dear friend, Rob MacIntosh. A long-time resident of Wauklehegan Manor, Mary also attended Lakeland Industries where she so enjoyed the companionship and love of all the people there. She was especially fond of Durrell McIntosh who was such a wonderful friend to her over the years. Our deepest heartfelt thanks and appreciation is extended to Mary's Cousins, Sylvia Swan of Tweedside and Donna Messer of Prince William for their love and attention and their many visits over the years and an extra special thank you to both for their continued support during Mary's recent stay at DECH. We are eternally grateful for all they did for her. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at the Wauklehegan Manor in McAdam, NB for their compassionate, professional and loving care over the years. They truly were a loving family to her. If one wishes, donations may be made to the Cancer Foundation or Lakeland Industries in Mary's memory. A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Paul's United Church, Saunders Road, McAdam, NB on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Ellen Beairsto officiating followed by interment at the Harvey Community Cemetery.
