HALLETT, DONALD FRASER The passing of Donald Fraser Hallett, husband of Mary Lou (Hargrove) Hallett, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on July 17, 2006 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on April 14, 1932 in Saint John, NB, he was the chosen son of Cash W. and Rosalie (Tompkins) Hallett. Donald was a Civil Engineer for the Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church, the Nashwaaksis Rec Council, the Y's Men, the Masons, the UCT, the Atlantic & Miramichi Salmon Association, the Nashwaaksis Hockey Club and of the Fredericton Golf & Curling Club. Donald was an avid salmon fisherman and hunter as well as a sportsman and coach. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, D. Mark (Sharon), R. Brent (Wanda), W. Wade (Georgina), A. Todd (Stephanie); one daughter, Melanie R. (Kevin) McKinley all of Fredericton; 12 grandchildren, Carrie, Greg, Jordan, Joel, Colin, Keith, Brittanie, Courtney, Lindsey, Josh Hallett and Darcie and Lucas McKinley; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Nashwaaksis United Church on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 1 pm with Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. Interment will take place at Melville United Cemetery, Kincardine, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, to York Manor Nursing Home or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
