MILLICENT MARQUITA On SWEET
SWEET, MILLICENT MARQUITA On Sunday, July 23rd, 2006, in hospital, and surrounded by her children, Millicent (Pugh) Sweet passed away. She had been a resident of Pine Grove for the last two years and had celebrated her 84th birthday on June 2 of this year. Her passing is mourned by her children, Susan (Curtis) Saunders, William Sweet, Debbie (Rich) Maston and Margaret Sweet, as well as her two granddaughters, Julie (Corey) Stewart and Joanna (Scott) Morse and her beloved great granddaughter, Olivia Stewart. She was the last surviving member of her birth family. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward Pugh and Ina (Colter) Pugh her husband, Ralph Sweet and her sister, Lois Farris as well as her two brothers, Colter Pugh and David Pugh. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Anna Pugh and Enid Pugh and nieces and nephews. Millicent was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Fredericton Curling Club and the Welsh Society. She was also a member of the congregation of St. Paul's United Church. In lieu of visiting hours, there will be a memorial service at St. Paul's United Church on Wednesday, July 26th at 2:00 pm. The Reverend Reg Miller will officiate. There will be a reception to follow. The family has asked that should you wish to remember Millicent, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
