DUNPHY, BEATRICE ELIZABETH (BETTY) The death of Beatrice Elizabeth (Betty) Dunphy of Fredericton occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on July 26th, 2006 at the age of 96. She was the daughter of the late William and Henrietta (MacPherson) Hanson of West Saint John. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 70 years, Harry Dunphy, sons Paul (Judy), Carl (Brenda), 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Betty was a founding member of Grace Memorial United Baptist Church, and a lifetime member of The Women's Missionary Society. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Mattatall, and brothers Earl and Carl. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to River Valley Funeral Services; 50 Avonlea Court, Fredericton (455-4267). At Betty's request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Grace Memorial United Baptist Church on Monday, July 31st, 2006 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating, with a reception to follow in the church hall. A private interment will take place in the Douglas Rural Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice.
