CALHOUN, MURIEL M. The passing of Muriel M. Calhoun of Burtt's Corner, NB occurred at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville, NB, on Saturday, July 29, 2006. She was 87. Born January 17th, 1919 in Maugerville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ezekiel and Janie (Jennie) (Lockhart) Thorne. A member of the Burtt's Corner United Baptist Church, Muriel was a retired Laundry Worker at the Victoria Public Hospital and Chalmers Hospital from 1966 retiring in 1984. Muriel is survived by one son, Gerald Calhoun and his wife Katherine of Moncton, NB; two grandsons, Christopher (Janet), St. Jean, PQ and Alexander (Sandy) (Kristina), Whitehorse Yukon; as well as two great grandchildren (Christopher); three nieces and two nephews. Predeceased by her parents, as well as her husband, Delbert A. Calhoun; two sisters and one brother. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Sunday evening 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday at 11 AM with Pastor David Wellwood officiating. Interment in the Burtt's Corner Community Cemetery.
