GILBERT, IRVINE THEODORE Irvine T. Gilbert of Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on August 11, 2006. Born at Brewers Mills in 1923, he was a son of the late Donald and Blanche (Hanson) Gilbert. Irvine was a Veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry in Africa, Italy and England. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Fredericton Branch 4 and the Victoria Lodge #13, I00F. Before his retirement he was employed as a trucker and for the past few years has enjoyed going for drives with family members. He is survived by three daughters, Sandra Brewer (Francis), Joann Brewer (Earl), both of Zealand and Diann Estey (David), Lower Queensbury; two sons, Lance Gilbert and Kevin Gilbert (Sheila), both of Zealand; a son-in-law, Rev. Dale J. Brewer, Zealand; a sister, Marguerite Graham (Pat), Maple Ridge; a brother, Rudolph Gilbert (Florence), Kitchener, ON; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Irvine was predeceased by his wife, Vivian (Brewer) Gilbert; a son, Brian; two brothers, Vernon and Perley; an infant sister, Rowena; a granddaughter, Janine Brewer; and three great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at the Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129 Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dale J. Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in the Stone Ridge Community Cemetery, where a Royal Canadian Legion tribute service will be conducted by members of the Fredericton Branch 4. Pallbearers will be Shawn Brewer, Blake Estey, Gregory Gilbert, Theodore Gilbert, Donnie Graham and Earl Brewer.
