BANKS, ALLAN E Allan Edward Banks, 1941-2006 of Miramichi passed away at his residence on Thursday morning at the age of 64. Born in Fredericton, Allan was the son of Mavis (Wade) Banks and the late Allan S. Banks. Allan was a millwright and was employed with U.P.M. Miramichi, until his retirement. Allan was a retired member of C.E.P. Local 689. Besides his mother Mavis and wife Bernetta (O'Toole) Banks, Allan is survived by four daughters, Karen Howe (Doug) of Miramichi, Cathie Loggie (Lloyd) of Miramichi, Crystal of Halifax N.S., Treena of Riverview; four sons, Darren (Lynda) of Riverview, Troy (Krista) of Miramichi, Wallace (Kim) of Fredericton and Timothy of Fredericton; three sisters, Brenda Perry (Neville) of Woodstock, Bonnie Merriam of Fredericton, Carolee Flewelling (Terry) of Kentucky; one brother Dale (Marlene) of Fredericton; ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Allan was predeceased by an infant sister. The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2pm at Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St, Miramichi with Pastor Gary Churchill Officiating.
