BOYD, WILLIAM (BILL) F. The passing of William (Bill) Francis Boyd of Queenstown, Queen's Co., NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 24, 2006. He was 79. Born March 17, 1927 in Irishtown, Westmorland Co, NB, he was the son of the late Fred and Ethel Boyd of Upper Gagetown, NB. Bill was a Private Security Worker having owned and operated Guardo Services. He attended the Moncton Wesleyan Church prior to moving to Queenstown. He served with Peace Keepers in Germany from 1951-1953. He also served during the Korean Crisis and in Cyprus. Bill was the very first Military Police stationed at Base Gagetown when it was first constructed. He also served with the Corp. of Commissionaires for 2 years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Myra (Allinson) Boyd; one son Alan (Courtney) of Moncton and one grandson Lance Boyd of Moncton; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank and Catherine Austin of White's Cove, NB and Helen Allinson (late Billy) of Upper Gagetown, NB; nieces and nephews. Bill will rest at his home, 4562 Rte. 102 Hwy, Queenstown, NB starting 2PM Wednesday. The funeral service will be held from the Queenstown United Baptist Church on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Karl Ingersoll officiating assisted by Rev. Mark Todd. Interment to follow in the Upper Hampstead Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations to the Upper Hampstead Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to a charity of your choice.
