POIRIER, JOHN The passing of John Poirier of Noonan, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Friday, October 6, 2006. He was 64. Born at Matapedia, Quebec, he was the son of the late Joseph D. and Marie C. (Gallant) Poirier. John, a dedicated hard worker was owner/operator of Fredericton Glass Ltd. He was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. John is survived by Nancy J. (Laskey) Poirier, his wife of 40 years; three sons, Paul Martin of Alberta, Paul John Poirier (Darlene) of Chipman and Peter Robert Poirier (Christa) of Richibucto Road; two step-grandsons, Greg and Jamie; a brother Paul Poirier of Quebec; six sisters, Estelle Roy (Gaston), Gisele Haley, Lisette Paquet, Micheline, Nicole and Monique Poirier all of Quebec; nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held from the Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Peter Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Quebec at a later date. The family has suggested the MS Society or a charity of your choice for memorial contributions.
