McKAY, WELDON DUNCAN The passing of Weldon Duncan McKay, of Astle, NB, occurred on October 23, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 7, 1937 in Astle, NB, he was a son of the late Sterling and Emma (McKiel) McKay. Weldon was a woods worker who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved the outdoors and storytelling. He is survived by one son, Charles McKay of Tiltinburg, ON; one grandson; one brother, Gary McKay of Astle, NB. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Lark, Hanford, Harry and Claud and one sister, Evelyn. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2 pm with Rev. Murray McFarlane officiating. Interment will take place at the Astle Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
