
ROSE AGNES DELONG
DELONG, ROSE AGNES It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Agnes DeLong age 96 of Fredericton announces her passing at the Pine Grove Nursing Home on November 19, 2006. Born in Richmond, Virginia USA on May 15, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Montaura (Soffee) Wilby and wife of the late Leslie Frank DeLong. Rose was a member of St. Dustan's Roman Catholic Church as well as a lifelong member of the Catholic Women's League. She was a kind and generous woman devoted to her faith and family, known for her warm hospitality and delicious home cooked meals. She is survived by a daughter Doris Armstrong (Larry), sons Thomas, Robert (Alexis), Patrick (Charlene), David (Beverley), and Paul (Donna); grandchildren Mark, Lori, Kim, Brooke, Cameron, Quinn, Denis, Luc, Bethany, Michael, Kaitlyn, Jared, and Connor; great granddaughter Rose; sister Helen Essid; special niece Rosemary Fahed; as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her step father Sam Essid, daughter in law Lorna, siblings and several relatives. Visitation at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on Tuesday November 21, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. Dunstan's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday November 22, 2006 at 12:00 noon with Father John Jennings officiating. Interment in the Hermitage Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Pine Grove Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
