HUDSON, JAMES ELMER 1917 - 2006 James Elmer Hudson passed away peacefully on November 16th at the Western Hospital, Alberton, PEI after a brief illness. James Elmer (Jim) Hudson was born on January 1 , 1917 in Cascumpec, PEI, the eldest of ten children, to Helen (MacLennan) and Brenton Hudson. He was predeceased by his father and mother, brothers Ernest and Everett, sisters Susie Warren and Velma Harrison. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 65 years Essie (Dalton), three devoted children: Gloria Hudson (Lockhart), Leigh (Sylvia Graham) Hudson and Jim (Deborah Hill) Hudson. 14 grandchildren: Steven (Mary Ellen) Hudson, Craig (Stacie) Hudson, Suzanne (Franklin) Robichaud, Karen Hudson, Sara (Ron) Lockhart, Fredericton; Brent (Lise) Hudson, Riverview, NB, Tricia Hudson (Rob Sowetski) Kitchener, ON, Michael (Holly) Hudson, Phoenix, AZ; Mark Hudson (Maureen Horn), Salmon Arm, BC; Lynda (Mick) Lord, Ottawa, ON, Heather Lockhart (Robert Hearfield) Vancouver, BC, Rosemary (Roberto) Bruno, Florence, Italy, Leslie Lockhart (Ken Titus), Ottawa, ON, James Lockhart (Tracey Landry), Toronto, ON. 12 great grandchildren: Julia and Katie Hudson, Zachary and Bradley Hudson, Jillian and Alexis Robichaud, Benjamin, Morgan, and Rowan Lockhart, Fredericton, NB; Rebeccah, Christina, and Nathanial Hudson, Riverview, NB. Brothers Ted (Jean) Hudson, Arthur (Lillian) Hudson, Cascumpec, PEI, Vern (Tim) Hudson, Alberton, PEI. Sisters Jean Murphy, Edmonton, AB, Leta (Gordon) Leard, Fortune Cove, PEI., and several nieces and nephews. Rooney's Funeral Home, Alberton, PEI were in charge of arrangements. Funeral services were held on Monday at Gordon Memorial United Church in Alberton with interment at Cascumpec United Church Cemetery, Cascumpec, PEI.
