CURRIE, DAVID A. August 14, 1947 - November 8, 2006 Rev. Fred Snyder officiated at funeral services for David Currie on November 10 at Carleton Funeral Home, Jacksonville, N.B. Cathy Cox provided special music. Pallbearers were: Sterling Floyd, Carl Nichol, Laurie Richardson, Paul Ritchie, Peter Ritchie, and Tom Shannon. Benevolent Protective Order of Elks No. 349 conducted a memorial service preceding the regular service. David is survived by partner - Kim Ritchie; mother - Nina Currie; children - Mark Currie, Woodstock; Terri Ann Currie, Inuvik NWT & Kaitlin Currie, Woodstock; sister - Ann MacNally (Bob), Woodstock; four grandchildren - Brandon, Jordan, Shannon and David Burns; Ellis & Pat Ritchie; nephew - Jason Corey (Jennifer), Ann Arbor, Michigan; many cousins, aunts & uncles. He was predeceased by father - Burns Currie. Interment was in the Hillman Cemetery, Ritchie Rd, Temple. David was employed by NB Power for over 35 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
