LYONS, JAMES (JIM) C. James (Jim) Chesley Lyons, husband of the late Mona Lyons (Morton) passed away peacefully at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital on Saturday, December 2nd, 2006. James was the son of the late Anna Vivian Lyons (Kelly) and John Leslie Lyons, Fredericton. He is survived by his two sons, Mitchell Lyons (Moncton) and Dale Lyons (Fredericton); his three older sisters, Mavis MacDonald (Eugene) Fredericton, Norma Johnson (John) Ottawa and Shirley Smith (Lyle) Fredericton; his sister-in-law, Bette Joyce; several nieces and nephews; and his special neighbors, Karen and Brent Duncan; as well as several close friends. He was predeceased by his older brother, John (Jack) Lyons. Jim was a lifelong resident of the Fredericton area except for a short period in the Canadian Air Force. Previous to Jim's many years of ill health, he was a well known athlete. He participated in and loved fast ball, hockey and golf. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No.4, Fredericton. He will be remembered by his witty, fun loving and outgoing personality. The family will receive condolences at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Monday evening, December 4th, 2006 from 6 to 9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 5th, 2006 at 1:00 PM with Canon T.A. Smith officiating. Interment at a later date.
