JOAN MAUDE On MOFFITT
MOFFITT, JOAN MAUDE On December 2, 2006 in her 80th year, Joan passed away peacefully in her sleep in Hamilton, ON. Born in Darlington, England, she moved to Canada after WWII. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Elsie Richmond. Joan was employed with the Wesley Urban Ministries until her retirement and was an active Volunteer with the Good Shepherd Centre serving the poor and homeless in the downtown Hamilton area. Joan is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert, four Daughters, Rita (Bob) Broadfoot of Pickle Lake, Susan (John) Sled of Hamilton, Norma (Allie) Wood of Harvey, New Brunswick, and Nancy (Bob) Smith of Hamilton, 9 Grandchildren, Melanie, Mary, Robert and David Broadfoot, Jill (Harris), Julie and John Wood, Robert and Scott Smith and 6 Great-grandchildren. Joan also leaves family and friends in Canada and Britain. Memorial Service to be held in the chapel at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (Hamilton) on Thursday, December 7th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Internment will be held in the Harvey Settlement Cemetery, New Brunswick in the spring. A time of remembrance will be held at the family home following the service. For those who wish, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Good Shepherd Centre.
