ELLIS, BOYD LEYS The death of Boyd Ellis of Waterville, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Friday, December 15th, 2006. Born in Bracebridge, ON, he was the son of the late Dr. Edward G. and Dymble (McConnell) Ellis and Common-law husband of Melva Theriault. Boyd served in the Canadian Armed Forces with the Royal Canadian Navy. He was also proud to be part of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Boyd is survived by his wife, Melva; daughters, Brenda Ann Ellis, Melissa Colbert and Tanya Bayers (Phil); step-daughter, Lorna Veniot (Vince) as well as his grandchildren, Josh, Natasha, Charlie and Laurie. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, David Ellis and his sister, Anne Ellis. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Monday, December 18th, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 will conduct a tribute service Monday at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 19th, 2006 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Greg Sparkes officiating. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Saint John, NB on Thursday, December 21th, 2006 at 1:00 pm.
