REGINALD JOSEPH GULLIVER

GULLIVER, REGINALD JOSEPH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Reginald Joseph Gulliver. Reg died peacefully on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB on June 20th, 1928, son of the late Currie and Doris (Kinch) Gulliver. Reg retired from NB Power after 32 years of service. Upon retirement he attended St. Thomas University where he graduated with honors. He was a life long member of St. Anthony's parish where he served on the parish council and cemetery committee and was also past president of the Fredericton Golden Club. He will be remembered with much love by his family who he cherished. Survived by his wife, Margaret (Chessie) Gulliver; his five daughters, Brenda Gibson, Theresa Johnston, Kathy Matthews (Peter), Chris Gillies and Lynn Gulliver (Bob Cassidy); his ten grandchildren, Trevor Gibson (Jennifer), Ryan Johnston, Erin Strassburg (Clint) and Lindsay Johnston, Katie Lenihan (Darin) and Julie Matthews (Mark Roach), Rob, Ann and Tom Gillies and Jaime Campbell (Ian); two great-grandchildren, Abigail Strassburg and Lauren Gibson; sister, Mary Ann Patterson and nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, brothers, Richard and Alex Gulliver; sister-in-law, Leola Gulliver and brother-in-law, David Patterson; his infant son, William Joseph and his special canine and companion, Nicky. The extra special treatment and care by the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital and the Extra Mural Program. Dr. Sydney Grant and Dr. Kathleen Woods is appreciated and will never be forgotten. Visitation will take place at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Friday, January 5th, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 603 Union Street, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, January 6th, 2007 at 12:00 noon. Celebrants will be Father John Keoughan and Father Monte Peters. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to St. Anthony's Cemetery Fund, the SPCA or to a charity of the donor's choice. www.mcadamsfh.com (458-9170)
