DAWNA RAYE (nee DARKE) CROSBY
CROSBY, DAWNA RAYE (nee DARKE) Born July 3, 1946 Calais, Maine, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton NB Jan 25, 2007. She is survived by her husband Russell Malcolm Crosby, daughter Rebekah Dawn Crosby, son Richard William John Crosby, of Fredericton; mother Alice Leland Darke-McVicar (nee Adams) (Milton McVicar) of Bonny River, NB, brother Allison William Darke, and sister Elizabeth Ann Darke of Deer Island, NB. She was predeceased by her father William John Darke and brother Gregory Thomas Darke (Barbara) of Deer Island. Beloved wife and mother, Dawna's kind and gentle nature was a blessing to all. Having earned her B.A and B.Ed at UNB, she was a teacher of French at Harold Peterson Junior High in Oromocto and the Devon Park Christian School for many years. Dawna was deeply interested in seeing people understand what tremendous riches are ours when we personally receive Jesus Christ into our hearts. Dawna, we miss you dearly, and look forward to being with you again in Heaven one day. Visitation will occur at the Brunswick Street Baptist Church sanctuary on Monday, Jan 29, 2007 from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm. There will be a Memorial Service at Brunswick Street Baptist Church at 2 pm Tuesday Jan 30, 2007 with a reception in the church gymnasium to follow. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Brunswick Street Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Dr. Everett Chalmers MRI Fund.
