CARTY, MARY BEATRICE (DEEDEE) The death of Mary Beatrice (DeeDee) (nee Conyer) of Oromocto, NB, occurred on Saturday, January 27th, 2007 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Louis Spencer Conyer and Mary Edna (nee Lewis) Conyer. Mary trained and practiced nursing in Philadelphia until moving to Canada in 1973. She is survived by her husband, Robert; one grandson, Jason Currie of Philadelphia; brothers, William, Samuel and Robert all of Philadelphia, and James of West Chester; one sister, Barbara Conyer of Philadelphia. She was predeceased by her parents, and one son, George H. Currie Jr. Not to be forgotten, Mary is also survived by her very special aunt, Mrs. Beatrice Harris of Darby, Pennsylvania. The family will receive visitors at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago Street, Oromocto, on Tuesday, January 30th, 2007 from 7 to 9 PM. A memorial service will take place the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, January 31st, 2007 at 2:00 PM with The. Rev. Keith Howlett officiating.
