CARL KENNETH JOSEPH JOHNSON
JOHNSON, CARL KENNETH JOSEPH Carl Johnson of Geary, NB, age 76 passed away suddenly on February 5th, 2007. Born in Timmins, Ontario, he was the son of the late William and Pearl (Faughnan) Johnson. Carl served in the Canadian Armed Forces for almost 30 years. He served with the 48 Highlanders in Germany in 1951, the 1st Battalion Black Watch in Germany from 1959-1962, and Cyprus in 1967. Following his retirement in 1980 from the Royal Canadian Regiment as a Warrant Officer CD, he worked with the Corps of Commissionaires at CFB Gagetown for over 15 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93, and of the Black Watch Association. Carl loved hunting, fishing and spending time with grand and great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Bertha (States), their children, son Micheal (Cheryl) Johnson of Geary, NB; daughter, Cathy (Gary) Nielsen of Brockville, Ont.; daughter, Sandy (Gilbert) Crouse of Geary, NB, and son Andy (Debbie) Johnson of Oromocto, NB, six grandchildren, Sean (Sandra), Ben, Kristina, Amanda (Mike), Colin (Shannon), and Kayla; and two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Emily and several nieces and nephews (Debbie Hall). There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will take place at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago Street, Oromocto, on Friday, February 9th, 2007 at 2:00 PM, including a Black Watch Tribute. A reception will take place in the funeral home immediately following the service.
