JAMES RICHARD MACKINNON (JIM) BOULTER

BOULTER, JAMES RICHARD MACKINNON (JIM) James Boulter of Nackawic passed away February 8, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born in Fredericton in 1939, a son of the late Norman and Mabel (MacKinnon) Boulter. James was employed for thirty years at St. Anne Nackawic Pulp and Paper Mill until his retirement in 1999. He served as Town Councillor in Nackawic from 1983 to 1986. He served as chairman of Nackawic Community Days, was chairman of the Nackawic chapter of Ducks Unlimited. In 2000 Jim was inducted into the NB Softball Hall of Fame, he enjoyed umpiring throughout Canada for many years. Jim volunteered at the Fredericton Soup Kitchen. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the family. Camping, hunting fishing and woodworking , as well as the weekly cribbage games were enjoyed as well. He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Deveau) Boulter; three daughters, Faith Brooks of Nackawic, Heather Boulter St. John, and Sandra Boulter Vallee (Ray) Halifax; one step son Christopher Hay (Mylene) Moncton; two step daughters Gina Hay (Christian) Moncton, and Karen Drost Hartland; seven grandchildren Lori Brooks, Amanda Brooks, Louis Alexandre Vallee, Austin and Bradley Drost, and Isabella and Jacob Lavoie; One great granddaughter LaTrea Brooks; Five sisters Jessie Saunders, Gertrude Canney (Honey) both of Fredericton, Greta Palmer of Central Hampstead, NB, Shirley Finnie (Jack) Barbara Smith (Reid) of Lincoln, NB; Four brothers Hazen Boulter (Roseline) Fredericton, Harold Boulter (Joan) Vernon, BC., Lloyd Boulter (Verna) Gagetown, and Kenneth Boulter (Florence) Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta; One sister-in-law Lenora Boulter of St. Andrews, NB. Several nieces nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother Gordon Boulter, one sister Doris Smith. Visitation will take place at Flewelling Funeral Home on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday February 12, 2007 at the Kirk United Church at 2 pm. Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. Internment will be held at a later date.
