THOMPSON, GARY ALLAN After a lengthy illness, Gary Allan Thompson, husband of Barbara (Grant) Thompson, of Fredericton, NB, passed away on March 11, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 11, 1938, in Campbellton, NB, he was a son of the late Austin and Ora (McDavid) Thompson. Gary retired in 1999 from NB Power where he worked as a Civil Engineer. He was affiliated with the Woodstock United Baptist Church and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels as well as various other charitable organizations. He was a member of the Fredericton Golf and Curling Club where he was an avid golfer and curler. In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by son, Mark Thompson (Joan) of Fredericton; grandson, Spencer Alexander; sister, Arlene Thompson of Montreal, PQ; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Bev Brazier officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Liver Foundation, St. Mark's United Church, Canterbury, NB or to the charity of the donor's choice.
