REID, RUTH MARY (KIRKPATRICK) Ruth Mary Reid - 70, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully Friday, May 4, 2007 in Dartmouth General Hospital, surrounded by her loving husband, Lloyd, friends and pastors. Born October 28, 1936 in Hoyt, New Brunswick, she was a daughter of the late Estey and Elizabeth (Whittaker) Kirkpatrick. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Lloyd; sons, Kevin (Juanita), Welland, Ontario; Russell (Christina), Hawaii; grandchildren, Nicole, Micheal, Chelsea; sisters, Viola Darrah, Ella Kirkpatick, Lilly Perkins, Opal (Glen) Edgar; brother, Ross (Lois) Kirkpatrick, all of New Brunswick; many niece and nephews. Ruth enjoyed life and took great pleasure in her grandchildren. She loved to travel and enjoyed many bus trip, trips to Europe and Hawaii and most recently, a Caribbean Cruise. She worked at the Bank of Montreal, Woodlawn, was a member of Dartmouth General Hospital Auxiliary, Dartmouth Christian Womens Club and Evangel Pentecostal Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday in Evangel Pentecostal Church, 1412 Cole Harbour Road, Dartmouth, Reverend Ewen Bulter officiating. Reception will follow. Interment will be held 4 pm Wednesday in Patterson United Cemetery, Hoyt, New Brunswick, Reverend Albert Galbraith Officiating. Family flowers only.
