HUNTER, HAROLD BERTRAM The passing of Harold Hunter of Douglas Harbour occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on May 6, 2007 at the age of 85. Born July 15, 1921 he was the son of the late A. Ward and Bertie (Randall) Hunter. Harold had a vegetable and Dairy Farm at Douglas Harbour. In his early years he was a woodsman and teamster. He drove school bus with the Minto School district for 12 years. Harold is survived by his wife of 62 years Georgia (Reynolds), five sons and two daughters; Allan (Linda), Eldon (Laura), Kenneth (Maria), David (Claudette), Jo-Ann (Alan) Flower, Harry (Jean) and Helen (Dwane) Greer; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Kaye Brown and Helen Tabor; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harold was predeceased by a sister Gladys Crowe; a brother Russell and 2 infant brothers. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, May 9, 2007 from the Scotchtown United Church with Rev. K. Ruth Stuart officiating. Interment will take place in the Scotchtown Cemetery.
