MARR, SHIRLEY MARGARET The passing of Shirley Margaret (Hale) Marr, wife of Cedric Neil Marr, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on May 24, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 13, 1929, in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel (VanBuskirk) Hale. Shirley was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church. She was a former Girl Guides leader, a former member of the Nashwaaksis Y's Menettes, member of the Fredericton Senior Shuffle Board Club for which she was the club secretary as well as volunteering for the York Manor Auxiliary for 25 + years. Shirley loved playing cards, traveling across Canada and most of the United States in the R.V. and was an avid sports fan. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Sharon Marr of Burns Lake, BC; one son, Stephen Marr (Deborah) of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren, Alicia Entz of Strathmore, AB, Ryan McMahon of Abbotsford, BC, Kyle McMahon of Burns Lake, BC and Caitlyn McMahon of Burns Lake, BC; 1 great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Adrian and Robert Hale. Visitation will be held from York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home's, T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, Fredericton, NB, on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 2 pm with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Church Hall.
