DOHERTY, LILLIAN MARY The death of Lillian Mary Doherty of Chipman, NB occurred Thursday, June 07, 2007 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Cox's Point, NB she was the daughter of the late W. Wesley and Maude (Barton) Nightingale. Lillian was a member of the Chipman United Church, an Elder of the Church, UCW, Ladies Aid, Charter Member of the LOBA Grand Lake Orange Lodge for 56 years and enjoyed Bowling. Survived by sons, Rae Doherty (Geraldine) of Minto, NB and Hupert Doherty of Chipman, NB; a daughter Muriel Marr (Roy) of Rothesay, NB; a brother Harold Barton of Cumberland Bay, NB; sisters, Bessie Barton of Chipman, NB and Phyllis McCumber of Saint John, NB; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband Everett Doherty in 1995; 3 brothers and 3 sisters; a great granddaughter, Caleigh Nicole Marr. Resting at the Grand Lake Community Chapel (43 Main St, Chipman, NB) with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Chipman United Church with Rev. J. Postlethwaite officiating. Interment will take place in the Redbank United Church Cemetery.
