Barbara (1926 - 2008) Niesman

Date de décès : 13 octobre 2008

Barbara Niesman (1926 - 2008), late of Moose Jaw, formerly of Mossbank, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Mom was a woman of great personal strength and faith. She sought out the good in everyone she met. She worked very hard at trying to keep our family circle united. In earlier years, Mom and Dad farmed and raised pigs, cattle and chickens. Then we moved into Mossbank, whereby she was a homemaker, mender, sewer, launderer and worked at odd jobs to keep our family circle going. She loved to travel to many different places with dad in their motor home and fishing boat. Her granddaughter Nicole was born on her 60th birthday, so many days were spent together celebrating this joyous occasion. She will be forever missed by those closest to her. Predeceased by her late husband Gordon in 2003. Barbara is survived by four children: Don (Marilyn) of Calgary, Doreen (Ken) McCrystal of Regina, Carolyn (Dennis) Jorgensen of Pilot Butte and Doug (Pauline) of Airdrie; six grandchildren: Kimberly (Scott) Duchek, Nicole Jorgensen (fianc%C3%A9, David Niedzielski), Jared and Derek McCrystal, Christine and Sabrina Niesman; two brothers: Ed (Natalia) Schrader of Edmonton and Nick (Muriel) Schrader of Winnipeg, sisters-in-law: Catherine (Joe) Bohonis of Prawda, Marge (Joe) Dankowki of Pine Falls and Ann Niesman of Moose Jaw, brother-in-law, Clarence (Betty) Niesman of Surrey as well as many nieces and nephews. The Evening Prayer Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Thursday October 16th at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave. N.W., Moose Jaw, on Friday October 17th, 2008 at 11:00 am. Father Francis Folleh C.S.Sp. will be the Celebrant. Family interment will take place at the Mossbank Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial masses or gifts in Barbara's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 104 - 2301 Avenue C North, Saskatoon, S7L 5Z5 would be appreciated.
