CARROLL, NEWTON H. It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Newton H. Carroll of Doaktown, NB, which occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, July 31st, 2007. Born in Doaktown, NB. He was the son of the late Ernest and Helen (Holmes) Carroll and the husband of Belva (Gaudet) Carroll. Newton was also predeceased by his brothers Carvell Carroll and Guy Carroll. Newton was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23 Doaktown, Masonic Lodge and The Shriners. Survived by his wife, Belva; one son, Newton Colin (Colleen) of Dartmouth, NS; two daughters, Beth Cardinal (Wes) of Dartmouth, NS, and Susan Carroll (Terry) of Middle Musquodoboit, NS; one grandchild, Colin Newton Carroll (Kelly); one great-granddaughter, Taylor Carroll; twin great-grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas Carroll of Hershey, PA; three sisters, Alberta Haddon of Oromocto, Nan Sgambati of Scarborough, ON and Georgia Clark (Donald) of Halifax, NS; two brothers, Hudson Carroll and James Carroll of Doaktown and many special nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation by request. The family will meet with friends and family at a reception following the memorial service on Sunday, August 5th, 2007 at 2:15 pm at St. Thomas United Church in Doaktown. Interment will be in the St. Thomas United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Shiner's Hospital in Montreal, PQ, St. Thomas United Church or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
