SHORTELL, REGINALD FRANCIS (FRANK) Passed away peacefully at the age of 60 on August 1st, 2007 in the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital as the result of a tragic accident. A long time resident of Oromocto, Frank proudly served his country for 20 years as a member of the Black Watch and the Royal Canadian Regiment. In recent years he was employed by Diamond Taxi. Frank is survived by his children Reggie of Red Deer, AB and Stacey of Lakeville Corner, NB, his sister Linda (Bill) of Lower Sackville, NS, sister Patricia of Halifax, NS, brother Bill and sister Joan both of Dartmouth, NS. He was predeceased by his mother Joan Brewer of Hubbards, NS. Frank will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who knew and loved him especially his family and dear friends Maria, Tina and Dorian. A special thanks is extended to the hospital staff who provided so much care and comfort in his final hours, and to the heroic young men who rescued him from the fire. A memorial service will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home (357-5100) on Saturday, August 4th, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society (Atlantic in Fredericton).
