REID, MURRAY A. The passing of Murray Alexander Reid formerly of Beaverdam, NB, occurred at the Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, NB on Sunday, August 12th , 2007. He was 87. Born April 3rd, 1920 in Holtville, NB, he was the son of the late Sandy and Almeda (Conroy) Reid. Murray was Anglican by faith. He was employed as a "cuber" with L.E. Shaw Ltd. for many years. A veteran of the Second World War, he served with the 5 Med. R.C.A. as a "gunner" having served in Canada, United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean Area and Continental Europe. Murray is survived by one son, Norman Reid (Colleen) of Beaverdam; three daughters, Mary Caterini (Terry) of Beaverdam, Reta Allen (Larry) of Penniac and Patricia (Tricia) Hodgson (Vernon) of Nashwaaksis; nine grandchildren, Kelli, Jennifer, Keith, Sarah, Tara, Joey, Brett, Christina and Jeff; a great granddaughter, Alexia; one brother, Stanley Reid (Velma) of Williamsburg, NB; two sisters, Mary Rusonik of Oshawa, Ont. and Eileen Amos (Leslie) of Doaktown, NB; nieces and nephews. Murray was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Joan Vesta (Randall) Reid, a brother Arnold Reid and two sisters Betty Fraser and Pearl Clowater. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bruce McKenna officiating followed by interment in St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Beaverdam, NB.
