HAMILTON, RALPH CURTIS Ralph Curtis Hamilton 76, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 14, 2007. Eldest son of the late Ralph and Ethel (McKeil) Hamilton of Fredericton, Ralph spent 33 years serving his country in the Engineering Corps of the Canadian Armed Forces. He served in Korea and Egypt as well as various military bases in Canada with the majority of his service at Camp Gagetown, NB. He was awarded The Korea Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal -1977, Canadian Forces Decoration and Clasp and Parachute Badge. Following an honourable discharge with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, Ralph joined management in the construction industry. He was active in his community and served many years in the Lawn Bowling Association of Fredericton as a coach and president. He was also president of the New Brunswick Lawn Bowling Association. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Alice nee Williams, his children, Linda (Larry) Billings of Fredericton, NB, Faye Hamilton of Queensville, ON, Kathy Hamilton (Sandy) of Calgary, AB, Ralph Hamilton(Adele) of Douglas, NB. He leaves his grandchildren, Mysti Hamilton, Jamey Billings, Tanya Billings, Sydney Parcey and his great grand children, Ryan Hamilton, Cole and Chad Smart and Tayler Weibe-Billings. Ralph was also survived by his sisters, Joyce Flynn and Donna (Jim) Lyons and his brothers, Darrell (Linda) and Reid (Marianne) Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 11:00 am. at St Anthony's Catholic Church, 603 Union St., Fredericton. There will also be a graveside tribute service presented by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4.
