BREWER, ELWIN "NEW" BERNARD The passing of Elwin "New" Bernard Brewer, of Zealand, NB husband of Vera Brewer, occurred on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 26, 1951 in Zealand, NB he was the son of the late Hanford and Anna (Morehouse) Brewer. He was a carpenter for King Construction for 15 plus years. Elwin enjoyed four wheeling. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife Vera, Elwin is survived by his daughter, Samantha Brewer (Derek) of Lower Hainesville, NB; son, Teddy Brewer (Deanna) of Zealand, NB; grandchildren, Nicholas, Savannah and Madison; sister, Audrey Stone (Eugene); brothers, Jimmie Brewer (Sharol) and Merlin Brewer (Paula) and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Zealand Pentecostal Church on Friday, August 17, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place from the church, Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Donald McCarty officiating. Pallbearers for the service are Dale Patterson, Pat Holland, Garth Farrell, Brian Collicott, Wilgod Basque and Garnett Mabie; Honorary Pallbearers are Herman Holland and Gordon Anderson. Interment will take place in Zealand Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
