Steinkey, Fanny, Fanny passed away on Sunday, October 26th, 2008 at the Union Hospital in Moose Jaw in her 89th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph (1988) and her infant son James John (1953). Loving mother of Ronald and his partner Gail Mayes, Elizabeth Marshall (Fred), Tony, June McDonald (Eoin), of Australia and Allan (Sharlet). Cherished grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 9. She will be missed by her brothers Roy, Tony and George Wagner, by her sister Emily Betts and by her many nieces nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her brothers Peter, Kasper, Joseph and Allan and by her sisters Mary, Katherine and Rosemarie. Fanny was born in Prelate, Saskatchewan in 1919. She was married to Joseph in 1939 and the couple spent most of their married life raising their 5 children in Moose Jaw. Fanny enjoyed life and had a sharp mind right up to her passing on Sunday. She had a great sense of humor and was always telling jokes. She enjoyed playing cards with card club at Church of Our Lady, gardening, reading; homemaking was the passion of her life. She loved her children dearly and looked forward to their many visits. Friends are invited to a prayer service on Tuesday, at 7:00 p.m. at the Parkview Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 29th, at 1:00 p.m at the Church of Our Lady, 566 Vaughan St. in Moose Jaw. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
