Hazel Jane Gault May 6, 1920 - October 27, 2008 Hazel Gault (nee Heavens) passed away at Pioneers Lodge on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the age of 88. Hazel was born and raised in Regina and moved to Moose Jaw in 1946 when she married Tom Gault. During her life she was active in the Order of the Eastern Star (over 60 years a member) and Job's Daughters. She was a fabulous cook and an accomplished and creative seamstress. She enjoyed playing the piano and playing cards, especially bridge. In the last years of her life she fought a valiant battle with dementia, never giving in to its ravages against her ability to communicate. The family would like to thank the staff of Pioneer Lodge and Ina Grafton Gage Home in Moose Jaw for the care and attention provided to Hazel. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1998. She is survived by her son Gordon, daughter-in-law, Connie, in Regina, grandson Dylan and his wife Rebekkah in London, Ontario, and grandson Brennan in Toronto. The Funeral Service will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday November 1, 2008 at 11:00 am. Reverend Allen Doerksen will officiate. Memorialization will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish to do so please make a donation to the charity of your choice. In living memory of Hazel, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
