LAPLANTE, LEOLA (DIONNE) Leola LaPlante of 85 3rd St., Sussex Corner, NB and formerly of Wicklow, NB, died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Fredericton on Sept. 3, 2007. Leola was born on Sept. 3. 1922, Van Buren, ME, the daughter of the late Henry and Eva (Ayotte) Dionne. Leola is survived by five children: daughters, Monique (Stephen) McIsaac, Milford, MA; Linda (Richard) Roach, New Maryland, NB; and sons Charles (Dot) LaPlante, Calais, ME; Gregory (Anita) LaPlante, Prospect Bay, NS; Matthew (Wanda) LaPlante, Sussex, NB; seventeen grandchildren: Paul, Michael, Caroline, Kimberly, Robert, Gregory, Nichol, Michelle, Troy, Tanya, Amy, Aaron, Eric, Amanda, Andrew, Zachary, and Alexander; and nineteen great-grandchildren; two brothers Norman Dionne, Florence, SC, Edwin Dionne Salinas, CA and one sister, Arline McFarlane, West Field, MA. Leola was predeceased by her husband, George in 2001 and by her son, Robert in 1963, great-grandson, Christian, brother, Joel and sister, Lucille. Leola devoted her life to her family and her Church. Her favorite pastimes were sewing, cross stitching, baking and reading. She enjoyed making lovely gifts for her family and friends. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all those who loved her. There will be no visitation by Leola's request. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 7, 2007, at 11am from St. Leo's Catholic Church Florenceville, Rev. Dan Melanson as celebrant. Leola will be buried next to her husband in St. Leo's Parish Cemetery. Donations made in Leola's memory may be made to a memorial of the donor's choice.
