COLFORD, PATTY LEE YVONNE Patty Lee Yvonne (Patterson) (Stairs) Colford, wife of Simon Colford of Fredericton, N.B. passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 1, 1949, she was the daughter of Earle A. Patterson and the late Selena M. (Swan) Patterson. Patty is survived by her husband; one son, Andrew Stairs (Nicole); twin daughters, Karen Phillips (Jaret) and Kathy Dewar, six grandchildren, Ethan and Aydon Stairs, Samuel and Benjamin Phillips, Emma and Elizabeth (Livvy) Dewar, all of Fredericton; her father of Pine Grove; one brother, Dennis Patterson (Nancy) Harvey Station; two nephews, Brent and David Patterson, of Harvey Station, N.B.; two stepchildren, Michelle Colford, Calgary, AB and Michael Colford, Red Deer; AB brothers-in-law: Robert Colford (Myrtle), Fredericton; Vincent Colford (Peggy), Burton Colford and Bernard Colford, all of Blissfield; sisters-in-law Mary Colford, Bernice Colford and Esther Shewciw (Peter), all of Fredericton; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Patty thoroughly enjoyed spending time with seniors which was evident by her eleven years working as a hairdresser at Windsor Court, and her daily visits with her father at Pine Grove. She was most happy surrounded by family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother, Selena Patterson in 2004. Visitation with take place at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Highway 3, Harvey Station on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Interment will follow at Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcia Fletcher, Ann Corey, Barb Little and Nancy Barrett.
