THOMAS EDWARD LAVIGNE

LAVIGNE, THOMAS EDWARD The passing of Thomas Edward Lavigne, of Brookside Drive, Fredericton, husband of the late Anne Mary (Godin) Lavigne, occurred on Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 4, 1931, in Lorne, NB, he was a son of the late Edward and Regina (Carrier) Lavigne. Thomas worked in construction and forestry for several years. He had a great passion for the outdoors, enjoyed walking, fishing and snow shoeing. Thomas is survived by four sons, Dale (Myrna), Lawnie, Brian and Troy (Yvonne Samson); one daughter, Donna Constable (Howard); six grandchildren; four brothers, Alphonse (Rachel Chamberlain), Angus, Alphie (Jacqueline) and Valmond (Claudette); six sisters, Leona Lavigne-Landry (Alben), Aldine Drisscol (Merylen), Emelia McGregor (Raymond), Valerie Brinscale (Robert), Lorraine Carrier (Leonard) and Yvonne Hickey (Coleman) and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Thomas was predeceased by an infant daughter, Peggy Lavigne and one brother, John Lavigne. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 12 Noon with Father John Jennings officiating. Interment will take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the New Brunswick Lung Association or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
